For Musicians

Musician Growth Lab is open to musicians across the United States who are actively creating and releasing original music and are committed to building a long-term career.

Yes. Bands are welcome to apply and should submit one application on behalf of the group.

No. Applying to Musician Growth Lab is free.

No. The program is free for those chosen to be part of the Cohort.

Cohort One will include five musicians or bands. We expect the program to grow in future years.

The program lasts one year, beginning in January and concluding in December.

Yes. The program is designed to be accessible to musicians across the country through virtual Growth Sessions, office hours, and community engagement.

Participants receive monthly Growth Sessions, office hours, mentorship opportunities, a community of peers, and a career development grant.

Participants should expect to actively engage throughout the year by attending monthly sessions, participating in discussions, and applying what they learn between meetings.

Topics include branding, publicity, touring, contracts, royalties, AI, marketing, accounting, networking, and other aspects of building a sustainable music career.

Applications are reviewed holistically. We’re looking for musicians with talent, commitment, curiosity, and a genuine desire to build a sustainable career.

Absolutely. We encourage musicians to apply again in future years as they continue growing their careers.

Building a successful music career today requires far more than talent. Musicians are expected to be entrepreneurs, marketers, business managers, and creators, often without access to the education, mentorship, or resources needed to succeed. Musician Growth Lab exists to help close that gap.

Donations directly support the musicians we serve by funding grants, educational programming, guest experts, technology, and the overall operation of the program.

Yes. Monthly giving is one of the most meaningful ways to support Musician Growth Lab and helps provide consistent support for future cohorts.

Yes. We welcome conversations with businesses, foundations, and organizations interested in supporting musicians and expanding access to career development opportunities.

Once our 501(c)(3) status is approved by the IRS (currently submitted and pending), donations will be tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law.
